Magical Monday November Afternoon - 2021/11/08

It just doesn't get any more Novembery than this....

I don't think so....

P.S. - Guess who I met on a big Indian today??

  1. Magical Monday...hmmmmm. So that Meteor appeared by magic, did it?
And how's this for magical transitions? NC700 gone in April, Vespa LX150 arrives in May, Vespa LX150 gone in late August, W650 arrives in early September.
We've both owned so many motorcycles, except you have kept all of yours!

    1. Not a Meteor but close enough. This is a 2018 Classic 500 Stealth. The woman that had it is the one with a new 350 Meteor. 413 miles, but that was 10 days ago ;)

Wow, you've been busier than I've been. All fine machines...I think you need a Shed. Still haven't had a Vespa though I'm now thinking that the Aprilia will have to suffice as close enough. More curious about your W650.

    2. I just wanted to ride it the past 2 months. I kept "discovering things" and it needs more work than I was led to believe, but maybe that's good! The to-do, and want-to-do lists may promote an emotional attachment to the machine. Keeps the hands and mind committed.
The original California owner must have been a connoisseur: Andreani fork cartridge$ and Öhlin$ $hock$ (or an ex-racer). It DOES like to turn.
When asked, The Kid (2nd owner) said the sprockets probably had 30% life left. I actually looked at the rear recently and it would make a good throwing star. I think YOU have one of those on your wall, yes?
The NC apparently was too new for me, and the Vespa's charm of finding low speed solutions to getting around The Cities wore thin. This one is like a 1966 Bonneville without the pain. Almost drove to Chicago for a new Interceptor, but Fargo was half the drive, and this bike was half the cost. It does have its charm. We'll see how long the fickle-factor stays in control.

    1. Richard, I thought yesterday was it for the real (>25) rides but I was out again today. I've got to up my game in the layer department if I keep this up. Both evenings really nice to get home.

  3. Monday was beautiful, looks like you found the sun shining south of the cities. May your Enfield ever thump ever onward towards distant horizons.

    Cheers!

    1. Thanks Jason and glad that you mentioned thump! I was thinking yesterday while riding that my old Bullet-based 500's don't vibrate, they luv thump. A very subjective observation but I'm making it just the same.
