Of course the Helix is making an appearance here, why would it not??
It hasn't been out much this season, it needed some more attention, a BiStarter (choke) and had been sitting enough that cold starting was even more challenging than before. But now it's back in the game, just in time for some lovely autumnal bliss.
Seventy miles this evening and it's running stronger than ever. Only a few miles short of 29k, I'm declaring here and now that I hope to have 30k on the clock before (real) snowfall.
Weedy beige, green and brown against the cool blue-gray of the fog. Nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr. S. Lately we've had fog that must have been at 101% humidity, it literally felt like it was raining outside. A trip to the 'Cities the other morning....I was on the blinking blue and red for the accident about as suddenly as could happen and that was in daylight. I had slowed down, anticipating a threat to my safety and someone else had already suffered at the intersection.
DeleteSo when is “real snowfall”? End of October?
ReplyDeleteIt COULD be. I bet "real" snowfall is snow that doesn't melt away after it hits the ground. In Minnesota on October 31, 1991 it was plenty real.
DeleteSalty roads is my quasi threshold. I'll be tickled if we make the end of October, hoping for a lot more though!
DeleteThere hasn't been much "Fall" weather down her in Eastern IA. Temps in the 80's. Got the V300 ready to ride except for the god awful seat. I have never owned a bike with such butt numbing pain. Got a Seat Concepts seat kit on order.
ReplyDeleteThat seat will be nice! Not hot this morning in SE MN, brother and I are camping (in the vans), Himalayan and his new Adventure KLR. Blog info to follow
