Here We Go

It will be hard to ignore by this time tomorrow.

A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through Tuesday morning.
* Impacts...depending on the snowfall amounts...travel may be hazardous late Sunday night through Tuesday morning. Northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph may produce blowing snow. The snow may be difficult to shovel.
* Snow accumulation...5 to 8 inches possible.
* Timing...snow will start late Sunday evening and continue through Monday night...tapering off Tuesday morning. The heaviest snow will fall late Monday morning through late Monday afternoon.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow that may impact travel. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.

The day will again return when a cold drink and shade will refresh.

  1. Yep, it's that time of the year. Now you feel free to tinker on your bikes and attend to the wife's honey-do list.

  3. Ugh! Yep, it's coming here eventually. Guess we will just all have to "suck it up" until spring!

    Though I will sneak in a little ride when I can....tee hee!

  4. Time to hunker down with CBC Radio and a hot cup of coffee.

    And here I felt bad because we woke to fog and 40˚. You always have a way to put it in perspective.

    1. Brandy,
      That exactly! There's already been quite a bit of radio time and that will most certainly expand now. I thought that an image of Wyoming on a 100 degree day might carry us at least a week or two into the cold and nasty.

  5. I've been reading that the storm moving into the Aleutians was bringing us warm Chinook wind but sweeping a lot of cold, snow-filled weather to the Midwest and northeast. I guess this may be part of that.

    1. Richard,
      Just a gentle reminder.....you folks have lots of experience with this coolish weather and frozen moisture. There's really no need to share all of it with us.
