A Fine Day

It was a lovely day yesterday, though not for riding and I'm now comfortable declaring the official end of the riding season.  A week ago I was out and though cool, riding was still possible.  If and when a sidecar rig ever shows up here, my season will hopefully end less abruptly.

I'll get out to the garage this weekend and check all of the odometers for season totals.  Unless everything I learned last year with my pie chart creation has been forgotten, I'll have a new, colorful version soon.

Until then, here were this morning's conditions in SE Minnesota.....hours after sunrise.

  1. Brrrrrrr Coop. The snow that stays says it's over for sure. So far we've had only a dusting and it's only staying in the coldest of spots. Looking forward to seeing your mileage chart.

    1. Just posted it Karen. It's been cold, a bit much this early if you ask me. Spent too much time outside this afternoon, the shop felt warm at 50 but now it's very nice to be inside.

    2. Funny how relative it all is ... when I walk into the house at +18 it feels warm after being outside at 0 ... but after a bit it feels cold inside and I have to bump it up to +20 and add a fire.

    3. It really does work that way. When it gets really cold out, walking into the shop at anything above freezing and its almost balmy. October cold is different than March cold :)

  2. It's a lovely scene. Better for walking and picture taking than riding - at least for me. :)
