Some of you remember our many driveway adventures.....
These pulled up from the archives in no particular order. Our normally 'Dry' ditch, runoff from my calculated roughly 3000 acres of drainage area up the valley.
Of course there was a lot of snow on suddenly warm days.
Looking downstream....
A different winter, a different snow pack...
Tall boots often worn, cars left on both sides of the chasm
The low spot invited drifts....very HARD and DEEP drifts....
Back in the olden days we had real winters, winters with snow.
It's been 5 years since we raised the driveway over the top of the big 5' culvert. In all that time, this is the most water that has run through it, summer or winter.
Looking upstream...
And downstream....
Hopefully we're ready for some real future water/snowmelt events. Finally the low ditch and slab don't fill with winter drifts. My snow removal chores are orders of magnitude easier.
