How Our Garden Grows - Memorial Day 2023

DISCLAIMER:  Boring content follows for the crowds not interested in our garden but for the 3 folks that actually have put in a request, here goes....  There will hopefully be more interesting content next week, I'm fully expecting to have an image or two from the Hiawatha BMW Rally at Money Creek, Minnesota.

It has been dry but the early morning watering process is proving fruitful.  New(er) blueberries, 3 varieties of sweet corn and two varieties of potatoes.

Our purple asparagus as been fantastic, sweet and tender!

Asparagus, blueberries and raspberries

Onion sets, chives and garlic chives and a hill of volunteer rhubarb.

Broccoli and kohlrabi

Don't plant mint, it is VERY invasive!!

Green beans where the tomatoes were.  The string climbing frame needs to be moved to where this year's tomatoes are growing.

Cabbage and brussel sprouts

New asparagus

Dry beans and fava beans

More beans

Cauliflower and cabbage

Tomatoes

Peppers and onions

Cucumbers

Pickling cucumbers

Carrots....just barely peeking through

Carrots and radishes

Grape vines, sugar snap peas and strawberries

I mentioned how dry that it's been at the outset....it's too bad we can't find an easy way for Arthur to contribute.....watering that which needs to be watered.

    1. It won't be long, there will be plenty and I'll save you some. They were wonderful last year.

  2. Arthur is just too cute. I am sure he would love to help water the gardens, which look amazing by the eway.

    1. Thanks VSL, both of your mentions are keeping us properly busy....we're having fun. The garden is really doing well, now if we could just get some natural rain.

  3. Hey, man. It's YOUR blog. Garden...gravel roads...good food you've eaten, GT250R...we get what you put out. Minnesota; a Theater of Seasons. Coopdway; a Theater of Posts. Just cut out all that cute, cuddly, dog stuff. Ain't nobody likes THAT.

    1. Thanks for the affirmation. My apology/excuse is mostly tongue in cheek....that sort of thing will flow through the Posts from time to time.

I'll continue to post when and what I enjoy making public, on 'Tube as well. No monetization, no ads, no pressure and most important, no schedule to follow. It's a hobby I enjoy and have fun with, a chance to write, one more excuse to stop for a photograph now and then. I see no reason to change a thing.

As always, your attention and comments are much appreciated!

  4. Verily, thine humor wasith too subtle for I. I many times specialize in facetiousness, but I do also appreciate the subtle; it's more cleverer. Party on, homie.
