The Helix was the machine of choice yesterday morning for two solid reasons. It hasn't really been used since early June when I rode it to the Hiawatha BMW Rally. Geez, it still has "The GS Ride" dust and dirt on it. At least it did until this morning's return trip home from Minneapolis.
The priority reason for taking the Helix up yesterday was due to its cargo, namely ScooterBob.

I've been fortunate enough to be participating in this wooden scooter's world travels and intend to make the most of our time together. Yesterday's time was in 'Nordeast Minneapolis at Diamond's coffee shop, a place that most of you know I frequent when I'm not busy doing something else (rallies) on Saturday mornings.
We welcomed the scooter to our part of the world yesterday morning....
Another one of Atul's fantastic old bikes, '37 Square Four in a '57(?) frame....
Lots of color for a Saturday morning......
A newer bike, not as colorful.....
I got wet riding home, but was within 10 miles from here when it started....
Almost an inch and it looks like more tonight.
ScooterBob arrived safe, warm and dry.
So that's how one measures rainfall....Scooterbob is looking good.
ReplyDeleteDom, our old rain gauge was in tough shape, so I picked this one up, thinking the design and function were pretty spiffy.
DeleteBob would have loved to meet this fine bunch of people and bikes.
ReplyDeleteSonja, I can guaranteed that there would have been mutual appreciation.
DeleteNow that is a warm mid-western welcome if ever there was one.
ReplyDeleteDavid, I expected a bigger challenge in getting everyone lined up. It was easy....I'll have to do it more often.
DeleteA great first Minnesota outing for ScooterBob.
ReplyDeleteCan you send some rain our way please?
Brandy, we'd easily share half and we'd both be happy.
