We leave in the dark and come home in the dark, though today I soloed; normally we ride together. Today's commute was one of the tougher ones, both directions took longer than they needed to. I won't even plow tonight, instead will wait for morning when the winds die down.
Thankfully there will be more daylight again soon.....spring is almost here :)
I share your optimism: spring is almost there... winter solstice is tomorrow, and then days are getting longer again.
ReplyDeleteSonja, I'm not going to look it up though from what I remember, the days soon start ramping longer quite quickly. Still, it won't quite be fast enough for me.
DeleteCome on longer days.........
ReplyDeleteI enjoy it when it is light out a little longer. Everyone seems a bit more cheerful.
I agree Trobairitz, we can always use a bit more "cheerful".

ReplyDeleteI was always of the opinion that we should change our clocks ahead by 3 hours or more. What sense is there in it being dark when we leave and dark when we get home. Better to have sunrise at 11am and sunset at 8:30 pm. I would rather have daylight in the evening rather than wasted daylight at 5am when you are not up yet.
It starts to get better from now on. I thought you were retired like Erik ?

Bob, I retired early at 24, then for some reason had to go back to work. My next retirement will have to be late as a result.....I've asked Erik for pointers but there's only so much help he can provide someone in my situation. I do look to him as inspiration however.
