Late September Update - 2025/09/23 (amended)

Busy days, beautiful days.  The temps have moderated, what seems like an over abundance of rain finds our neighborhood greener this month than even usual.  I'm back in the school bus, starting our 4th week and too many of my passengers are sneezing and coughing.  As a result.....I'm....

Our alfalfa field was fertilized, is recovering quickly from 3rd crop baling and will be cut again very soon.  The very best crop of tomatoes that we've ever grown and that's a wonderful thing.

I managed to get my 1969 1/2 Honda CT90 running again.  Gas tank flushed, carb cleaned and running well enough to get me to the bus garage.....and home again.  It was almost 10 years ago and a lot of bird droppings in the old horse shed can accumulate in that time.  Luckily, it cleaned up quite well.

Last weekend the Hyosung was out after a couple of months in respite.

Really looking forward to this coming weekend, the Hawk will be on the back of the truck and about as far north in Wisconsin as we can be.  You'll read about it here.

Amended.......best I could do.

  2. That Honda Trail 90 is a beauty. I can see the echoes of it in my 2024 Honda Trail 125 though your machine seems much more rough and tumble. Especially the tires.

Nice to have a choice of machines to enjoy.

    1. It's cute! I got it running and at least a little bit cleaned up so that I could sell it. Peg walked around the corner...."Oh, you can't sell the cute one..."

How am I supposed to get the count down??

Yours is a much more practical ride to actually use....they've grown up a lot. This one a novelty item, fun to use, at least for a bit. I've commuted to work a couple of times, a 15 mile round trip on a gravel road where (most) don't mine me going 40 mph.

Maybe when I get some more dust and dirt on it conditions will be ripe for another listing on marketplace.

  3. Getting the count down. That comes up here at times. The garage is full. The cars are outside. Somehow that doesn't make sense at times to my significant other. I explain I don't care at all about the cars...

The Honda Trail 125 is capable but 45 MPH is a reliable top speed for me. Sometimes I can get it to 50 MPH if the wind is at my back and I just went to the bathroom. So I pull aside for traffic. Thankfully, there's not much traffic where I usually ride it.

All the machines in the garage now have a unique, specific job. How can I get rid of any of them. It's a puzzle.
