The Twin Sisters was Peg's grandfather's Lake Superior fishing boat. It's been on the beach since the late 1960's, close to if not the boat in the worst shape of all those nearby.
I know that I stopped on Halloween 2006 but the proof is not to be found. It was my first ride up on or within a day or so of Halloween.....a tradition began for a few years. A long ride on a typically short, cool day. Dad passed that weekend in 2010 and the Halloween rides were no more.

ReplyDeleteThe lamprey's came, fishing suffered and Gramp quit paying his taxes/fees....the boat had to come out of the water. At least that's the story that's been shared. Storage fees would be high lo these 50+ years. Not much of it left but I know where the solid brass prop is.
